What you are charged
Kiln Pro costs $10 per month, in US dollars, with any applicable sales tax or VAT included in that price — the amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay. There is no setup fee and no minimum term.
- Billing interval: monthly. The subscription renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel.
- Cancel any time: cancelling stops future charges, and you choose whether Pro ends immediately or stays active until the end of the period you already paid for — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Refunds: a full refund is available within 14 days of your first Pro payment — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- On your statement: the charge appears from Dodo Payments, our authorised payment provider and reseller, not from “Kiln”.
How storage works
The plan limits cover the assets you upload — images, video, SVG and 3D models. Projects themselves are small and are not counted or limited. Identical files are stored once and counted once, so re-using an asset across many projects costs you nothing.
- Free: 50 MB of assets in total, up to 10 MB per file.
- Pro: 1 GB of assets in total, up to 100 MB per file.
- When you reach the limit, existing work keeps loading and exporting; only new uploads are blocked until you free space or upgrade.
What happens if I downgrade
Nothing is deleted when a subscription ends. Your projects keep opening, rendering and exporting, and Pro layers already in a document keep working exactly as you made them — only the ability to add or edit Pro-only layers, and to upload beyond the Free limits, goes away.
If your stored assets exceed the Free limit after a downgrade, they stay available and readable. The one long-term exception is described in the Terms of Service: assets held over the plan limit may be removed after two years, with advance notice by email, and you can always export your projects as self-contained files first.
Taxes, invoices and payment methods
Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record for every sale. They handle payment processing, sales tax and VAT, invoices, and payment-method changes. You can open their customer portal from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription inside Kiln to download invoices, update your card, or cancel.
